Valarie Jarvis, Co-Founder of Jireh Family Farm in Durham, NC, began researching herbs and holistic measures to improve health after her brother died of colon cancer.  Her findings led her to discover the health ramifications of overly processed foods in the diets of many Americans.  She longed to raise her own meats, eggs, and produce for self-reliance and clean eating health. Valarie and her husband started their homestead in 2017.

 

As a third generation farmer, she grew up on a tobacco farm in Virginia and truly enjoys being outside caring for the animals, planting and assisting people to improve their overall health through herbs, natural remedies and diet.

Today, Valarie offers her experience and expertise to others through herbal consultations, Chronic illness coaching,  educational classes and seminars.  The nurse who farms also offers an online and onsite herb store.
